Pet Products Sales Reps Wanted
How do I approach a company about becoming a sales rep
Am interested in representing a pet product from a small company based in another state. Currently, the pet product is sold in my state (very hard to find though) but I do not think they have local territory reps. I think it is great and would love to represent this product by going to local stores, shows, etc. The reason I became interested in it is because I went to a pet store looking for it and a rep from another company tried to persuade me to buy her products instead. She got to talking and essentially told me she just became a rep for this other company by calling them. I would like to do the same for the company I am interested in but don’t know how to approach them. I don’t want to go about it the wrong way and turn them off. Any Suggestions. This is something not sold by the large pet retailers. Only local groomers, vets, etc have it but like I said it is hard to find
See if they have a website and email them to tell them how much you like their product and are so impressed that you would like to represent it in your area if there is anything available. Leave your phone number so they can contact you either by email or phone to discuss any opportunities.
