House cat food balanced cat allergies?
My 12y.o. cat was just diagnosed with severe food allergies and more than a month steroids, etc to combat the allergic reaction (which was aggravated by the use of the first line), it is now necessary to follow a special diet. The vet said that to use only Royal Canin peas and green peas and duck and rabbit. It is quite expensive and I do not think they were trying to sell "their products" because told us to try to get reduced by a relative who works at a pet store. Therefore, it is not like they're trying to make a profit only. Anyway, hate cat food and refuses to eat, so I wanted to try food from home. Does anyone know of a well-balanced, healthy house cat food for cats with sensitive to food? I found several online, but I wonder how they balance. Most veterinary products are expensive but if you look at the label in the beginning, you find that many still have corn and other products. The cause of pet allergens are the carbohydrates that serve no nutritional value because cats are carnivores. All pet foods sold in the common market for products containing corn. There are so many more quality items cat food in the market you can buy small pet stores (not so large pet stores like Petsmart or Petco). I tried some of the top quality food who worked for her and since there is an allergic reaction. I know that I slept with Innova EVO. It's expensive, but better and my cat just loves. They have turkey, chicken, lamb, hunting, etc. All foods contain corn and by-products of Veterinary and are the cause of allergens. Veterinarians only get one semester of study on nutrition for all animals not just a particular animal, so we do not have sufficient information or adequate nutrition information. I do not want to diss a veterinarian I trust in mine, but was willing to admit this fact to me.
